A completion ceremony for the project was held on March 7th, 2016.
The photovoltaic generation system and battery storage system that were installed by this project, as well as an existing wind power generation system built by the South Korean grant aid, fully provides electric power to Santa Cruz island where the largest population in Galapagos islands lives.
Also this project reduces the burden on the environment.
