Federal Republic of Nigeria / Emergency Rehabilitation and Reinforcement
    of Lagos Transmission Substations

Takaoka Engineering Corporation (hereinafter TEC; President: Akihiko Ichikawa; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo),
a subsidiary of Takaoka Toko Co.,Ltd. (President: Takashi Ichinose; Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo), has been
awarded a contract by the Federal Ministry of Power (FMP) of Nigeria for an Emergency Rehabilitation and
Reinforcement of Lagos Transmission Substations for the Federal Republic of Nigeria in western Africa.

The project, which is to strengthen the substation facilities of the Apapa Road Substation that supplies electricity
to Lagos State, the country's economic center, will be implemented with grant assistance from the Japanese
government. TEC and Toyota Tsusho Corporation (President & CEO: Ichiro Kashitani, Head Office: Nagoya, Aichi)
have formed a consortium to undertake this project, with TEC taking full responsibility for engineering, civil and
building works, and procurement, transportation and installation of electrical equipment.

Demand in the area served by the Apapa Road Substation has been increasing year by year, and the peak demand
has exceeded the substation's supply capacity. This project aims to enhance the substation facilities in order to
improve the stability and reliability of power supply to port facilities including the largaest port in the country, Lagos Port, and surrounding industrial areas, contribute to the creation of a foundation for high-quality economic growth,
and promote sustainable economic activities in the surrounding areas including Japanese companies operating
locally.

TEC completed the The Project for the Improvement of Substations and Distribution Network Phase 3 in Rwanda
( Japanese Government Grant Assistance) in August 2022, and is currently executing a contract for the Improvement of Substations in Lilongwe, Malawi (Japanese Government Grant Assistance). Nigeria is the ninth country in the
African region for TEC to have received such a contract. In the African region, which is expected to continue growing in the future, we will continue to expand our business actively in order to contribute to the improvement of people's
lives and economic development through the construction of electric power facilities such as power transmission,
substation, distribution, and power generation.
