The Project for Desalination of Groundwater in Southern Region (2013)
《Background of the project》
The Republic of Tunisia is not rich about the water resource. Even the few resources are located north. Therefore, central and south can only rely on the grand water. Beside the country is placed at the area where it is not suitable for drinking due to the high concentration of salt. This facility is for water quality improvement of tap water in Ben Guerdan area. The filtering apparatuses with reverse osmosis membrane produce treat water approximately 1800㎥/day. For environment friendliness, after treated water, the high concentration of seawater does not stock to the ocean, but it dries by sun at the pond. The portion of power that is uses for the facility is covered by solar generation system.
《Project outline》
Project: The Project for Desalination of Groundwater in Southern Region, Republic of Tunisia
Client : *Société Nationale d'Exploitation et de Distribution des Eaux (SONEDE)
Site: Tunis, Tunisia
Outline of construction:
1) Desalination Plant
2) 30kW solar Electricity Generation System
1.Desalination Plant
Built a desalination Plant by using RO membrane which can deal with 1.701㎥/day.
※RO Membrane: (Reverse Osmosis Membrane) Membrane has a character that can through water but it can prevent other materials, for example, ion or salt.
